There will be music, food, a classic car show, a kids zone and a whole lot more at the African American Heritage Festival this Saturday and Sunday at Sebring International Raceway.

The hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Enter at Gate 4 at the raceway.

Admission is $10. Kids entry is free. Parking is free.

The festival includes: vendors, guest speakers, live music, games, a bounce house, food trucks, live music, drinks, and family fun.

At 2 p.m. both days, the Afternoon Southern Soul Party starts with live music and DJs.

Event organizer Robert Saffold Jr. said the Echelon Band from Orlando with their funky sound will be heard both days and Stephen “Saxee” Smith will be performing on Saturday.

Prosoundz DJz Entertainment featuring DJ Eddie and DJ L.A. Ray will be featured both days.

The car show is Saturday morning and there will be a motorcycle rally on Sunday, Saffold noted.

Saffold suggests bringing your own folding chairs and umbrellas, though he was arranging for some seating on site.

Starting at 9 a.m. Saturday they will have an awards ceremony, first honoring military veterans of Highlands County and then recognizing the county’s sports legends who went on to play sports professionally, he said.

Saffold noted that admission is free for ladies on Sunday after 2 p.m.
