A little known fact about Will Smith and his behavior onset is being put on front street—but it’s not as bad as you think.

In news that can only be described as hilariously peculiar yet somewhat par for the course for the comedic actor, the director for “Men in Black” Barry Sonnenfeld recently opened up about Smith and how me made everyone allegedly “evacuate the stage” all those years ago.
Speaking on the “Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa” podcast on Wednesday, Sonnenfeld prefaced the convo by describing a scene Smith and his “MIB” costar Tommie Lee Jones were filming in which they both had to be “hermetically sealed” inside a pod to get the shot. Right as they were beginning to film, Sonnenfield said Smith abruptly began apologizing to Jones profusely and called for a ladder so that his costar could get out quickly—much to the confusion of the director.
The reason….?
“What happened was, Will Smith is a farter,” Sonnenfield claimed, later adding: “You don’t even want to be sitting next to him at the Disney ranch. We evacuated the stage for about three hours. And that’s incredible. No, he’s, you know, a lovely guy. Just, he farts. Some do, some don’t.”
Let’s press pause right here. I have so many questions. Do you know how bad you have to smell to make people leave off of a film stage for THREE HOURS? How long did it linger? What did he eat beforehand? What happened when everyone came back? Was it business as usual or did everyone rake him over the coals for making them flee? Did it push behind the film schedule? WHAT DID HE EAT?
I would’ve expected to learn a lot of unexpected things about Smith but him being the Gas Gaffer, the Cutting the Cheese Captain, the Deadly Fart Enforcer was not one of them.
