Former First Lady Michelle Obama raised eyebrows in her podcast with an awkward comment many interpreted as an admission she’s actually a man.

Obama uttered the remark on her “IMO” podcast as she praised comedian and actor Marlon Wayans for raising a trans child “as a black man.”

“I wanted to talk, Marlon, a bit about, um, you know, I’m just so proud of how, uh, you are being a role model for dealing with a child that’s transgender, um, and that’s, you know, that warms my heart, particularly as a black man, um, you know, would you care to share that journey of…?” Obama told Wayans.

The out-of-context articulation set off a wave of “Big Mike” discussions on social media, with many claiming the former First Lady was finally coming clean about being a transgender person, as many including comedian Joan Rivers have suspected.

Other users pointed out the clip was clearly taken out of context.

The incident comes as Obama has experienced a public fall from grace as of late, shifting to hosting an unpopular podcast after being sidelined for the Democrat nomination in favor of Kamala Harris last year – despite once being seen as the Party’s top contender – and amid persistent rumors of a divorce from Ex-President Barack Obama.
