The show was filmed on the campus of Alabama State University, where Rose and Hernandez got into a heated debate regarding Rose’s racial identity and background. In the intense verbal exchange, Hernandez went so far as to say that Rose, “really wants to be a white girl,” saying that she, “is conflicted with her Blackness.”

While the original cut of the episode cut out what happened next, the obtained TMZ footage fills in the blanks, showing the entire physical altercation between the two had after Hernandez called Rose a “crybaby.”

The timing of the found footage is certainly interesting, as Rose has been thrust back into the spotlight due to her support of Donald Trump and appearance at the RNC. Her public participation and support of the GOP already sparked renewed conversation regarding Rose’s race before the clip surfaced, with this found footage only adding even more context to the dialogue surrounding the television personality.

Revisiting the clip has some fans seeing where Hernandez was coming from in the clip, with one user writing, “Joseline spoke the truth about how conflicted Amber Rose was.”

“What this fight proves is that college hill shouldn’t have even sent Joseline home,” another user wrote. “They made it seem as if she brutally attacked back and had to go but Amber Rose literally attacked her and she defended herself.”

In a statement to TMZ, BET stands behind their decision not to air the now-leaked footage. “We remain unwavering in our decision not to air the footage, as our network does not condone violence in any form,” the statement reads. “Furthermore, we hold the HBCU experience in the highest regard, recognizing its vital role in fostering Black excellence and pride within our community.”
