Racine, WI — The Racine Public Library has a variety of events and programs coming up in September, including donation drives, author visits, family activities, and educational workshops for all ages. The library is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Seeking Diaper Donations
The Racine Public Library is now a donation site for the Racine Diaper Ministry. Please drop off diapers in the Innovation Lab, or with a staff member if the lab is closed. Learn more about how to donate or qualify for free diapers at NorthPointeRacine.org/diaper-ministry.
Donations being accepted:
- All diaper sizes (Sizes 4, 5, 6, and 7 especially needed)
- Pull-ups
- Baby wipes
4th Annual Lakefront Expo – This Saturday
A fun, family-friendly event hosted by the African American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Racine on Saturday, Sept. 7, 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Taking place outside the Racine Public Library, this free event features vendors, food, games, music, a classic car show, financial workshops, kids’ activities, and more. Sponsored by Racine County, Chase Bank, and the Racine Public Library.
Author Visit & Signing with Caron Butler & Justin A. Reynolds
On Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m., meet NBA star Caron Butler and author Justin A. Reynolds, co-creators of the books “Shot Clock” and “Clutch Time.” Caron Butler, a Racine native and two-time NBA All-Star, currently serves as an assistant coach for the Miami Heat. Justin A. Reynolds is a bestselling author and screenwriter. Pre-order books or purchase them at the event for signing. Registration required: RacineLibrary.info/clutch.
Bookmobile 2024-2025 School-Year Schedule
The Racine Public Library’s Bookmobile starts its new school-year schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The new schedule includes two changes:
- The Monday 1–2 p.m. stop is now at Goodland Montessori School.
- Starting Sept. 11, the Wednesday 2–3 p.m. stop will rotate between EverGreen Academy’s elementary and middle school locations.
