Judith A. Cox was honored with The Spirit of Pontiac award by the Pontiac Regional Chamber of Commerce. She received the award at the 2025 Prosperity Pontiac Annual Event, held March 20, at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac.
The award recognizes someone from the business community who supports the chamber’s efforts and the community at large, according to a press release.
Cox, who is CEO of the Mindfulness Institute of Michigan, was selected because of her contributions to education, well-being, and entrepreneurship.
She has served as the Pontiac chamber’s Wellness Champion for several years and has volunteered hours of service to the chamber’s STEM Youth Program.
Damany Head, chair of the Pontiac Regional Chamber of Commerce said, ”We are very appreciative of the many contributions and personal development training that Judith A Cox has made in service to the chamber community’s greater wellbeing. Judith made significant contributions to the Chamber’s work with the local chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers Conference (Oakland County NSBE Jr.). She made a significant impact in her role as the Chamber’s Wellness Champion. Her conviction that individuals can access their highest potential for both their professional and personal lives through heart-based living is transforming the trajectory of our entire region.”
