Mission: Fostering intergenerational connections with academic support and community impact. The program is sponsored locally by Lutheran Life Villages
Wish list: The Foster Grandparent Program supports 38 female volunteers aged 55 and older who generously give their time to mentor and nurture children in the community. We hope to provide these seniors with essential household items such as toilet paper, facial tissue, toothpaste, deodorant, bath bar soap, and laundry detergent. With the uncertainty surrounding SNAP benefits, non-perishable food items like Stove Top stuffing, canned green beans, cranberry sauce, cake mix, and frosting would be useful. Mission: To provide a safe home, a meal, and warm bed for children during emergency removals while the case worker works on securing placement, instead of sleeping at the DCS office. We also provide a home like space for visitation for parents on the road to reunification.
