Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign for president has already rallied a historic amount of American support and donations. Per usual, Black women set the bar high with “Win With Black Women,” followed by the “Win With Black Men” movement. On July 25 white women, fired up about threats to their right to choose and talk about “childless cat ladies” and got in formation to show their support for Harris, and Black Twitter had plenty to say about it.

During another historic Zoom call held on Thursday night, more than 164,000 white women crashed the Zoom site after joining the “White Women: Answer the Call.” Celebrities like pop artist P!nk, former WNBA star Sue Bird, and actress Connie Britton joined live stream, which raised $2 million in less than 90 minutes.
During the call, Britton said “I’m so proud of all of us to be together, and as white women, we are the ones that have the privilege.” She continued “we, too have to fight and continue to fight for equality, our selfhood, [and] our freedom.”
Of course, Black people couldn’t help but peek into the Zoom, making sure white women were doing their part and staying headstrong on the front to help Harris win. They shared their hilarious reactions on X.

Others put out an urgent call to action to white women who haven’t yet jumped on the Harris train, like this X user who warns of the danger of another Trump term:
In 2016, many voters blamed white women for electing former President Donald Trump to office. On X, user @lizfinchart said “I should have showed up for Hillary [Clinton] but I didn’t. Now I am throwing my total support behind Kamala Harris. I also just made my first ever donation to a political candidate.”
Throughout the night, white women gave Black women their flowers and respect by acknowledging them as the leaders of many social and political movements. Now white women are pledging to pick up the slack. “Black women sent us,” TikTok user @cherylrussellart later said. “Thank you for sending us.”
Even attendees like journalist and show host Don Lemon were impressed by the level of support the vice president has received. In a TikTok during the event, Lemon said “white women have answered the call to support Kamala Harris.”
The focus of the night was fundraising and empowering Americans who think their vote doesn’t matter. A recent Marist poll found nine percent of Americans remain undecided between Trump and Harris. With the same poll finding only one point separating a Trump win over Harris, it’s clear just how vital it will be for either campaign to restore faith in undecided voters.
Now that white women have chimed in to voice their loyalty to the presumed Democratic nominee, many on social media are now calling for white men to step up to the plate to speak up. X user @kayewhitehead said “It’s time for White men to #AnswerTheCall and then we need to keep it going until Nov.”
With only 102 days left until the Nov. election, it’s clear Harris is rallying a historic level of support in such a short time, and Republicans, especially Trump, should be shaking in their boots.
