Arizona Cardinals' Sean Murphy-Bunting breaks silence on Bobbi Althoff dating rumors after viral romantic video Sean Murphy-Bunting, the cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals and one of the brightest young stars in the NFL, has recently found himself at the center of swirling internet rumors. The Super Bowl winner from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has been buzzing both on and off the field, but his current rise of popularity owes this time to something completely different incident involving social media influencer Bobbi Althoff.

Sean Murphy-Bunting shuts down dating speculation with Bobbi Althoff

Bobbi Althoff became famous with her eccentric interviews on The Really Good Podcast and then retreated from public life due to personal issues, including her divorce from Cory Althoff earlier this year. While she has avoided cleaning beams and blurry videos, one got people curious again. The video seemed to suggest a romantic relationship between Althoff and some unnamed NFL player, leading netizens to come up with theories about Murphy-Bunting.
This post on TikTok showed a clip of Althoff in an intimate moment with a bearded African-American man, shared by user @amandachristine_1, causing much speculation over whether the “mystery man” was indeed Murphy-Bunting. Murphy-Bunting’s prior dealings with Althoff only stoked the flames of speculation. Back in July, an incident now famous had caught him carrying Althoff out of Barstool Sports Bar in Nashville after she seemed to lose consciousness.
At the outset of the speculations, Murphy-Bunting was quick to deny being the one showing in the TikTok clip. Another name that was mentioned as a possible candidate was Cedric Ogbuehi, formerly of the offensive tackles for the New York Jets, but without hesitation he turned that rumor down and also said that neither was Murphy-Bunting involved. Althoff’s cheeky response of six exclamation points in answer to Ogbuehi’s comment left followers confused even more, which added another twist to the ongoing drama.

Addressing the incident during an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, Murphy-Bunting explained, “It was really just helping a friend in a situation that I felt like she needed help in. Just obviously being out having fun, reading the room. I just felt like things were off, and just wanted to make sure she got home safely.”
Althoff later thanked him via Instagram, saying, “Last night was scary but thankful for having good friends in my life like @seanmurphybunting for looking out for me.” Though that moment did capture the essence of Murphy-Bunting’s character, it was also taken to be a spark for dating gossip.
At the moment, no definite evidence is connecting Murphy-Bunting or Ogbuehi to the video, while the netizens will keep speculating endlessly. There is no risk of the rumor mill slowing down, but as for Murphy-Bunting, the business has football and leaves the gossip behind.
