A recent study by The Vacationer predicted that driving would be the preferred mode of travel for 75% of American families this summer. According to the survey, most families plan to embark on at least one road trip, with many choosing destinations within 100 miles of home. Only about 21% intend to travel up to 250 miles away, and a smaller segment of 5.8% are aiming for trips exceeding 1,000 miles.
