Co-founders Vanessa James and Marcos Rodriguez presented the second annual Food, Wine & Fete in Miami’s Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. In the journey and mission to elevate and celebrate the diverse Caribbean diaspora, this year’s event celebrated the vibrant culture of the Caribbean, drawing over 800 guests who enjoyed the culinary excellence and energetic atmosphere unique to the region.

The event featured a stellar lineup of Caribbean culinary stars, including James Beard Award recipient Chef Irie, Myriam “Chef Mimi” Charles Chef, Chef Paul Griffith, Chef Troy Tingling, Chef Shaun Alexander and Chef Alain Lemaire. Culinary delights were paired with lively Soca music performances from renowned artists like Teddyson John, King Bubba and Kevin Lyttle.

Guests enjoyed live cooking demonstrations and interacted with local caterers and small businesses showcasing their unique Caribbean flavors on “Foodie Avenue,” culminating in an unforgettable experience.

A new Jackie Robinson statue was unveiled in Wichita, Kansas. The statue replaced the original, which was stolen seven months ago. The six-foot bronze replacement statue is cast from artist John Parson’s original mold and has been erected in the same pavilion where the original stood since 2021.
