SHREVEPORT, La. — MLK Dreamfest held the Bridge Builders Breakfast Saturday morning to recognize those who embody the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Among the honorees were prominent Shreveport community leaders.
“The North Louisiana Civil Rights Coalition has come together to present the Bridge Builders breakfast in our community as a way to honor individuals and organizations who embody the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. With servant leadership and doing those things across racial, social, educational, economic lines to help bring our community together through unity and strength,” said Executive Director Angelique Feaster.
The 318 MLK Dreamfest is a collective series of events honoring King under the collaboration of Dream Keepers Alliance, Krewe of Harambee, Krewe of Sobek and the African American Chamber of Commerce.
